Their strategic involvement in customizing products and implementing a global drop-shipping model propelled the company to achieve an impressive 8-figure annual revenue. Rakan’s ability to navigate the complexities of international business and logistics showcased their prowess as a global entrepreneur.

The same year marked another significant milestone as Rakan was chosen as a Cansbridge Fellow, further affirming their dedication to personal and professional growth on an international scale. This commitment to excellence was further solidified in 2018 when Rakan assumed the role of CEO and Co-Founder at Makeship. This innovative crowdfunding platform targeted content creators, allowing them to monetize their fan base through short-term product campaigns. Rakan’s strategic vision and leadership played a pivotal role in growing Makeship into an 8-figure annual revenue enterprise.

Beyond their entrepreneurial ventures, Rakan’s commitment to fostering international connections and collaborations is evident in their membership with C100, starting in June 2022. Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at Queen’s University from 2014 to 2018 further enriched their knowledge and skills, culminating in the attainment of a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree.

Rakan’s commitment to continuous learning and cultural proficiency is highlighted by the completion of a Certificate of Chinese Proficiency (HSK) in March 2017. Additionally, their acquisition of a Private Pilot License from Transport Canada underscores a passion for exploration and mastery beyond the traditional realms of education and entrepreneurship.
