Davies Announces Acquisition of Forensic Accounting Firm MDD.

Davies, a specialist professional services group, has confirmed its acquisition of Matson, Driscoll & Damico (MDD), a prominent forensic accounting firm.

This acquisition positions MDD as a pivotal addition to Davies’ Global Solutions division, introducing a comprehensive global forensic accounting service line to the company’s extensive portfolio. Led by CEO Mark Grocott, Global Solutions already encompasses Davies’ Consulting, Technology, and Insurance Solutions businesses.

The incorporation of MDD’s expertise in forensic accounting is anticipated to enhance Davies’ service offerings significantly, granting access to independent forensic solutions across five continents. With a professional team of over 330 professionals serving more than 1,000 clients globally from over 40 offices spanning North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia, MDD brings extensive reach and experience to Davies.

Paul McGowan, CEO of MDD, will directly report to Grocott and join the Global Solutions executive leadership team. McGowan expressed confidence in the synergies between Davies and MDD, highlighting the shared commitment to professional growth, client service excellence, technological advancement, and attracting top talent.

Dan Saulter, group CEO of Davies, warmly welcomed the MDD team, praising their international reputation in forensic accounting and their track record of delivering exceptional outcomes for clients in the insurance sector and beyond.

Saulter emphasized that this acquisition aligns with Davies’ strategic vision of expanding capabilities, investing in cutting-edge technologies, and recruiting top talent globally to provide comprehensive services across the insurance lifecycle.

With the integration of MDD, Davies now boasts a global workforce of 8,000 across 20 countries, with significant operational centers in the UK and the US, and a reinforced presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
